The National Center for eCommerce Businesses is currently the only company to offer eCommerce Capabilities Certification (eC3) for businesses engaged in online retail (B2C, B2B, D2C) to help prove their capabilities and potential for success.
Our mission and vision is to establish a core standard for online retail eCommerce businesses that will identify businesses that have the necessary knowledge, skills, and focus to achieve success in eCommerce.

Once your application for certification is submitted, our team will review your application to determine if any additional information is required before moving the process forward.
Upon application approval, we will reach out to schedule an initial appointment to understand your current business operations. This will help us adjust for category-specific factors.
Once the preliminary analysis is passed, the certification process begins. We'll use our proprietary methodology to determine your capabilities based on the eC3 level your business has applied for.
Once the certification analysis is completed, capability categories will be scored. A passing score will lead to certification. Areas of improvement will also be highlighted if applicable.
